Originally created for the Zoo Portfolio 2005, published by Archeus, Auad's gold necklace text-work Piranha is a witty swipe at the decorated girls of the Brazilian social scene, inspired by messages of love, family and friendship often found on cheap jewellery. Piranha is a slang term meaning a voracious, predatory, highly competitive, ruthless, alpha female. Piranha is also, according to Urban Dictionary, defined as "Any wrestling or grappling technique (esp. from Brazilian Ju-Jitsu) that presses a body part or the ground against your mouth - sometimes yielding imprints of your teeth on the inside of your lips/gums or teeth marks on your opponents arms/legs."

It is precisely this type of entertaining connection which intrigues in Auad's work.
